Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Director of Data & AI
Salary Range: $62,113 - $93,169 annually, with bonus opportunity

As Business Intelligence Developer, you are highly passionate about data. You have effective project management and planning skills. You will create/develop complex reports and dashboards within our business intelligence platform(s). You'll create reporting data models to support the performant operation of OLAP data sources. You'll work directly with business users and stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Create and maintain complex Cognos Analytics assets to translate problem solving needs into technical requirements
  • Build and automate analytical reports/dashboards to help track KPI's, identify areas of opportunity, and increase metric visibility for all levels of the organization
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations where applicable to achieve company and department goals
  • Occasionally provides deep analytical insight into KPI's for root-cause analysis and to guide/provide suggestions to key decision makers
  • Support and help administer functions of the Data & AI technology stack - data warehouse, data movement, data quality, and business intelligence
  • Work with vendors and consultants as appropriate


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, physics, math, or related
  • 24 months experience in business intelligence and data warehousing
  • Encompassing knowledge of core enterprise data warehousing (both technical and business aspects)
  • Familiarity with business analytics
  • Proficient at developing both ad-hoc and scheduled reports/dashboards for business user consumption
  • 24 months experience in system administration
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT system operations for troubleshooting performance monitoring and improvement, automation, and administration tasks
  • 12 months experience in effective project management and planning (ability to gather requirements, design solutions, and execute project plans while maintaining stakeholder engagement and delivering results that align with business expectations


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Full time
  • Remote work permissible
  • Occasional overnight travel required. Must have ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train for customer and vendor calls, training, or meetings.
