Position Summary
The UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The mission of CBH is to address health care disparities through: health services research and evaluation; capacity building; training and workforce development; and through increasing access to quality behavioral health services that are holistic, cost-effective and provided with respect to unique cultures and communities.
CBH is seeking a Program Coordinator to coordinate projects dedicated to improving behavioral health services, systems and workforce in NM. Duties include: working with accrediting bodies and professional organizations; coordinating ECHO sessions; outreach to presenters and attendees; providing assistance to faculty, staff and community partners; coordinating and facilitating in-person and virtual trainings and more. The Program Coordinator will hold a UNM Purchasing Card; assist with project logistics and procurement, materials preparation and creation of dashboards and data collection and visualization tools. The ideal candidate will develop a thorough understanding of continuing education processes, accreditation, and credentialing, as they will provide extensive webinar support and real-time technical assistance to large audiences. This position will regularly work with multidisciplinary teams and may guide lower level staff on data entry needs; manage complex scheduling and will develop positive relationships with internal and external agencies and stakeholders. This position will work closely with clinical and non-clinical partners and will assist with implementation and meeting facilitation.
The qualified candidate should have in-depth knowledge of and experience with: project coordination and implementation; continuing education processes; RedCap, Zoom, Qualtrics, Adobe Creative Programs and Smartsheet; familiarity with behavioral health issues, the criminal justice system, and human services-related programs; culturally competent and able to work within diverse communities; establishing and maintaining positive community relationships; scheduling meetings and events and administrative functions. The desired candidate for this high-energy position is customer service-oriented, efficient, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This is a term, full-time, benefits eligible position. This position may require limited travel within New Mexico. Conditions of Employment
- If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.

- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer an advanced degree in a behavioral or public
health field - Demonstrated project coordination and administrative
experience - Extensive experience with data collection and database
management - Demonstrated customer service experience, and providing
hands-on technical support - Prefer experience with RedCap, Access, Excel, Zoom,
Qualtrics, Adobe Create Programs and Smartsheet- must be knowledgeable, quick and adept.
