Position Summary The UNM Department of Humanities seeks to hire a current New Mexico Resident for a Temporary Part-Time Faculty member to teach an online class in one of the following subject areas for Summer 2025. Public Speaking COMM 1130 (3) This course introduces the theory and fundamental principles of public speaking, emphasizing audience analysis, reasoning, the use of evidence, and effective delivery. Students will study principles of communication theory and rhetoric and apply them in the analysis, preparation and presentation of speeches, including informative, persuasive, and impromptu speeches. Meets New Mexico General Education Curriculum Area 1: Communication. We propose a base salary of $1,017.60 to $1,100.63 per credit hour depending on successful candidates' qualifications.
