ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  1. Load and unload machine with the aid of an overhead crane, positioning material as required. Removes scale from material manually when necessary.
  2. Set up from instructions and necessary information received from supervisor.
  3. Operate saw, selecting proper feeds and speeds. Change saw blades when necessary.
  4. Maintain coolant flow, clean and replace coolant as required.
  5. Set up, select tooling and operate test equipment as necessary.
  6. Check identification on all material handled by stamping or marking with necessary numbers.
  7. Place saw crop ends in scrap boxes according to grade.
  8. Move material to next area of operation as required and attach proper color tag.
  9. Complete all paperwork, time slips, production reports and computer Input on a daily basis.
  10. Deburr sawed edges with hand grinder.
  11. Grind radius for heat treating as required.
  12. Restamp ID after blasting.
  13. Receive instructions from production supervisor and or Syteline/Symphony lists.
  14. Clean facilities as required.
  15. Remove all ID/color tags prior to shot blast and also re-attach them when completed.
  16. Use electric or air operated hand grinder to remove defects, scale, etc.
  17. Perform work in accordance with ECFG's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  18. Complete all paperwork, time slips, production reports and computer input on a daily basis.
  19. Assist in maintenance or production work as required.
  20. Report defective material and faulty equipment to the supervisor immediately.
  21. At times the employee may be required to perform testing in accordance with ISO 17025, NADCAP or other Standards. During testing the employee is considered to be a part of Quality and shall not be pressured by outside influences.
