Job Description:

Position Title: Process Design, Document Development & SME Support Associate

Term: 18 to 24 months, with the possibility of extension

Location: Remote (home-office)

Work hours: Daytime business hours

Pay: 72,800.00 - 97,000.00 DOE

Job Summary:

The American Red Cross is seeking a self-motivated Process Design, Document Development & SME Support Associate with expertise in donor and suspect product management processes and procedures. This role supports a multi-year initiative focused on large-scale software implementation in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as SME and document developer for relevant DCSC processes.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and test manual and automated processes.
  • Participate in usability, validation, test, and plan development.
  • Collaborate on project and development teams, committees, and cross-functional teams as SME and/or lead.
  • Analyze requirements and contribute to software lifecycle processes for blood center operations, including impact and risk analysis.
  • Create and revise SOPs for DCSC processes and operations, ensuring compliance with blood banking regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive solutions with a "think outside the box" mindset, considering enterprise-wide system views and dependencies.
  • Deliver high-quality work within stringent deadlines.
  • Execute highly complex or specialized projects, adapting precedent and developing innovative solutions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related Medical Technology or related field experience.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with DCSC systems and associated procedures, including:
    • System 11: Suspect Product Review
    • System 14: Donation Recruitment and Qualification Management
  • Preferred: Experience as a Document/Procedure Writer (System 3) with an understanding of IDD (Instructional Design Development) format.

Note: A combination of education and general experience satisfies requirements as long as the total years equate to the minimum education and general experience years combined. Management experience cannot be substituted.
