JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Leadership & Annual Giving leads the development, implementation, execution, and maintenance of strategies, policies, procedures, and goal setting for all annual gift fundraising programs for the Billiken Club. This position is also responsible for the oversight of the annual fund program, management of donor portfolios, and supervision of volunteer committees for the athletic department.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researches, cultivates, and solicits leadership annual gift; maintains a portfolio of annual donors to the Billiken Club; conducts 15-20 visits per month

  • Leads the creation and implementation of a robust annual giving program, which includes direct mail, phone-a-thon, website, and face-to-face solicitations; works with the Associate Director of Athletics to set goals for active Billiken Club donors, newly acquired Billiken Club donors concerning the total dollars generated via the Billiken Club on an annual basis; maintains a membership donor database and tracks revenue and memberships

  • Serves as the liaison to the Billiken Club Board of Directors and the Student-Athlete Alumni Committee; recruits new volunteers

  • Assists with all events, including but not limited to the Billiken Golf Classic, Billiken Hall of Fame, Billiken Holiday Party, and various athletic alumni events

  • Develops and manages premium ticket sales program, as well as assisting with membership opportunities revolving around ticket purchases

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques

  • Ability to maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals

  • Ability to travel strategically and obtain results

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Three to five years of experience in collegiate athletics

  • Previous experience with donor software

  • Previous fundraising experience

  • Previous event management experience
