Your Responsibilities as a Part-Time Variable Project Manager may include: * Management of assigned projects that may include compliance auditing, management system auditing, regulatory assessments, program development and report writing. * Ability to understand and identify EHS risks with existing and new clients based on their specific needs. * Write professionally and technically proficient reports to provide quality deliverables for clients. * Provide recommendations for controls and corrective actions based on sampling, auditing results and regulatory requirements * Assists with compliance assurance audits, including data collection, employee interviews area walkthroughs, and risk assessments. * Assists with regulatory inspections and internal/external audits. * Supports on as-need basis during disaster/urgent response efforts at client facilities * Support development and/or review and revision of safety compliance programs such as Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, LOTO etc. * Prepare technical documentation related to EHS Management Systems * Familiarity with ISO Management System Standards Travel- Up to 50% may be required The consultant will need to be able to work independently and communicate well with client contacts and internal stakeholders including Program Managers and National Practice Leader. The ability to identify issues related to environmental, health and safety requirements, and develop practical recommendations for corrective actions and on-going compliance. The ability to interpret regulations and understand best practices for effective implementation. Preferred Skills: Strong analytical skills. Detail oriented. Good communication skills for client interactions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel). Technical Writing skills is a must. Auditing and consulting in the area of compliance assurance (e.g., metrics such as GHG emissions, water use, waste generation, recycling, injury & illness statistics) Required Experience: BA/BS degree in Environmental Sciences, Health and Safety, Geology, Engineering or related discipline. Experience (15+ yrs.) EHS compliance and permitting related experience, preferably in industry. Why you'll love working for us:
