GAI is seeking a Financial Operations Leader to join our team. Working with the Business Unit Leadership, you would be primarily responsible for providing financial reporting for the Power and Energy business unit; lead project controls efforts for several key accounts; and assist in business planning / monitoring. This position requires prior finance experience with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in financial performance reports; monitoring and tracking the progress of project work relative to established budgets; working with Program/Project Managers to proactively identify project budget and schedule problems and implement corrective actions; and preparation of cost accruals, estimates to complete and estimates at completion. - Lead recurring business unit financial performance reporting; evaluating net project revenue, factor, utilization, EBITDA; AR/WIP/Write-off monitoring, coordination, resolution; and related ad-hoc analysis efforts.
- Assist in financial modeling for long term contract arrangements, inclusive of developing rate model / analysis, based upon active (or anticipated) staff.
- Prepare and monitor business unit budgets, inclusive of direct labor, operational expenses, and resource commitments.
- Lead backlog data recurring reporting, inclusive of soft and hard backlog; support staff planning efforts and possible recalibrations; and develop alignment model (backlog demand to staff need).
- Prepare, monitor, and report on key accounts; develop associated dashboards; prepare client accruals; analyze for health / risk; and initiate corrective measures, as necessary.
- Prepares progress reporting; produces specialized reports, cost reports, contract reports and cash flows; and develops, reviews and analyzes project specific reports.
- Provides guidance and consultation to project managers in the areas of organization, administration and financial management.
- Lead / mentor project controls and accounting professionals.
- Work in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
- Consistently adhere to and enforce internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules.
Communication, Teamwork and Leadership
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills, including negotiation of critical issues and effective persuasive communication. Demonstrates financial acumen and familiarity with financial issues. Experience in providing guidance and consultation to Project Managers/Directors in the areas of project financial management and contract management.

Education, Traits, and/or Experience Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.

Language Skills
- English as a first language or demonstrated verbal and written skills in English as a second language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability todemonstrate strong writing/communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups ofmanagers, clients, customers, and the public.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of various software programs which may include job-specific software; Accounting software; HRIS software; ATS software; Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; and Word Processing software.
- Must be proficient in the use of Deltek Enterprise Software and Microsoft Excel.
