Central Monitor Tech-3-South-Full-Time

• The telemetry Central Monitoring technician provides continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms with documentation and communication of pertinent arrhythmias to nurse responsible.
• Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.
• Monitor and record physiological measurements including obtaining six second strip as indicated by patient condition.
• Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.
• Care and maintenance of cardiac equipment.
• Documents and interprets patient's heart rhythm and rate by utilizing telemetry recordings.
• Receive and coordinate telephone calls from healthcare providers.
• Communicate information clearly to nurses and physicians

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Life Threatening Arrhythmias training
• Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Certification Annually
