missions :
Senior Demand Planner
Location: Durham, NC/Bridgewater, NJ
As a key member of the Supply Chain team, this role will regularly interact with Suppliers, Supply Chain Planning, Demand Fulfillment, Operations, Finance and Business unit teams. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will perform the demand and inventory planning processes for their assigned products. These plans will be developed and executed in support of Business Unit requirements and company goals for those products. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will work to manage supply-demand alignment with Business Unit and Supply Chain stakeholders. This role will drive improvement in forecast accuracy and positively impact customer service and inventory performance. This role will work to manage Suppliers on-time-in-full, right-first-time-quality, and standard cost performance. This role will participate in New Product Launch activities. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will act as a trainer for Supply Chain Planning processes and systems.
Accountabilities:
- Create items and product family forecasts based on market requirements.
- Utilize the appropriate statistics to create the baseline forecast.
- Make forecast adjustments upon analysis of product changes, promotional campaigns, and key customer plans.
- Understand and adjust forecast for distribution channel inventory and sales data.
- Work with the Business Unit to arrive at a consensus demand forecast indicating true market demand in both units and dollars.
- Work with Suppliers to assess the support of the demand forecast and action any variances that arise.
- Participate in the monthly S&OP process to present supply-demand alignment along with forecast accuracy improvement.
- Measure and improve forecast accuracy through the Forecast Deep Dive process.
- Apply inventory planning methods for finished semi-finished, and raw material products that support both customer service and cost objectives.
- Generate and manage purchase orders and work orders with Suppliers to ensure on-time-in-full and right-first-time-quality deliveries along with targeted standard costs.
- Manage and communicate Supplier scorecards for the above results vs target.
- Alert the Business Unit and Supply Chain of supply-demand misalignment conditions.
- Work with the Business Unit and Supply Chain to optimally utilize available inventory through the influencing of demand and/or adjustments to supply when there is misalignment of supply-demand.
- Improve inventory stock ratio and aging through Forecast Accuracy and Inventory Deep Dive processes.
- Monitor and evaluate distribution channel inventory for any potential excess or shortage conditions.
- Participate in new product launch programs providing demand and inventory planning along with monitoring of supply-demand alignment through launch and run out.
- Partner with or lead others in driving the necessary Supply Chain Planning improvement to achieve objectives on customer service and inventory levels.

Qualifications:
- Work Experience - 5-10 years proven track record in the Supply Chain areas of demand, inventory and/or supply planning required. Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries preferred.
- Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Other - APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification preferred.
