Inova Psychiatric Partial Hospital - Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the team. This role will be PRN weekdays from Monday - Friday.

Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:



  • Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance and an assessment as to status, relevant to the treatment plan, and eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.
  • Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
  • Provides educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' level of understanding and motivation.
  • Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols. Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines - adjusting the treatment plan as needed. Assists in the development, review and implementation of policies/procedures.


Occupational Therapist Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: PRN Weekdays
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensure: VA License in Occupational Therapy
  • Certification: BLS via American Heart Association
  • Experience: New Grads welcome
