The Software Engineer II will provide programming design and development for Bruker's world leading multiphoton microscope product lines. The engineer will be working on Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging analysis software to enable data processing of FLIM data. You will work with other software developers, engineers, and scientists supporting and advancing the state-of-the art research for life science imaging. This position requires initiative, innovation, and responsibility working within a cooperative team environment to support existing and realize new customer products.

This is a temporary contract position projected for 3 months.



Responsibilities

Essential capabilities:

    In depth experience using Python, MATLAB, VB.NET, C#, and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with Fluorescence Lifetime and time-resolved fluorescence data and processing
  • Experience with multiphoton microscopy and typical multiphoton applications

Typical Responsiblities

  • Programming, debugging and deploying software for advanced microscopy systems
    Creating a software analysis pipeline with documentation to guide users to processing FLIM
  • Training internal staff about FLIM analysis workflows
  • Generating documentation and user-facing guides on performing data analysis of lifetime data


Qualifications

  • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or engineering, physics, or a related field. BS with significant industry and research experience will be considered.
  • Experience in advanced microscopy techniques such as multiphoton, FLIM, super-resolution, lightsheet microscopy
  • Experience programming in mathematical software environments such as MATLAB
  • General programming experience including UI design.
