Summary:
Responsible to evaluate, install, test, calibrate, and repair biomedical equipment; completing preventive maintenance schedules; conducting tests; following manufacturer instructions; troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions; improving equipment performance; providing biomedical equipment analyses and reports; training users; maintaining safe operations.

Essential Functions:
-Documents equipment maintenance actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
-Inspects, trouble-shoots and repairs clinical equipment systems and electronic equipment.
-Provides support to ensure that clinical equipment meets safety requirements and safety checks loaner equipment prior to use in facilities.
-Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
-Completes work orders and documents completion of work orders and outcomes.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
experience with equipment maintenance/repair 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate problem solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- General computer knowledge with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet preferred.
- Basic tool knowledge across all categories.
- Basic understanding of SPC principles Knowledge of controls and electric (AC - DC low voltage).
