Summary
Provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities that may include conducting a variety of routine experiments with established methodologies, data collection and management, and other research activities as assigned. Essential Functions Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting. -Study cohort management. -Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents. -Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research. Education The Mongan Institute Health Policy Research Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) seeks a full-time research assistant for research projects at the intersections of public health, clinical care, health services research, and health policy. Current studies include examining the effects of tobacco and vaping control policies; promoting healthy eating, nutrition, and food security; and studying the impact of prevention and improved health care management on health care costs and efficiency. The research assistant will work under the supervision of Principal Investigator, Dr. Levy, and will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinicians, social scientists, and statisticians. This position is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in disease prevention, health promotion, public health policy, and health services research. This role offers opportunities for skill-building in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research while working alongside experts engaging in impactful research to improve public health outcomes.
