Summary
Responsible for evaluation, assessment, therapy, and case management. In addition to the provision of individual, group and family therapy, is responsible for treatment planning and documentation.
Essential Functions
Provides group and/or individual therapy to clients as assigned. Interventions should be structured appropriately to the specific clientele being served.
Consults with program staff in development of skills training groups.
The therapist provides a non-judgmental environment in which clients can process and verbalize personal insight and awareness of their issues.
When appropriate, provide consultation to clinical teams based on specific areas of expertise/training.
Documents inpatient hospital group forms within established time parameters and in accordance with hospital procedures.
Follows all established group therapy protocols.
Maintains contact with other clinical staff and unit leadership through participation in rounds, staff meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings, treatment

Education

Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials

Social Worker, Licensed Independent Clinical [LICSW - State License] preferred

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist [State License] preferred

Occupational Therapist [State License] preferred

Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor [State License] preferred

Licensed Mental Health Counselor [State License] preferred

Experience

group or individual therapy experience 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Managing one's own time and the time of others.

Excellent crisis intervention skills.

Strong patient/customer service skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.

Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.

Microsoft Office Suite.
