Knife River is hiring for a Quality Control Manager based out of our Billings, MT office. Job Responsibilities will include: * Manage Quality Control Department. * Responsibility for financial efficiency and performance of Quality Control Department in support of all operations (Aggregates, Redi-Mix, Asphalt, and Construction). * Work amongst industry peers through trade associations on Quality Related issues. * Develop Quality Control Cost Estimates for Estimating Department on projects. * Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures * Ensure all work is in conformance with the contractual requirements * Verify all material incorporated into the project conforms to all submittals, project specifications and drawings * Understand and execute the required testing procedures in conformance with the contract documents and industry standards * Create/Prepare outgoing correspondence to the clients, subcontractors, and other outside entities, ensuring accuracy, quality and professionalism of work. * Monitor, document and track Quality Control documents including but not limited to Quality Control Plans, Daily Reports, Testing Reports and Inspection Reports * Review all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree is highly desired. * Experience with estimating and costing programs.
