We are hiring an Asphalt Raker at our Medford, OR operation. In this role, you'll perform manual labor duties to help place and spread asphalt for private and public asphalt paving projects.

This is a union position with membership to the Laborers Union Local 737 required after hire.



  • Union Scale Wage: $32.69 - 40.91 per hour
  • Benefits: Full union benefit package.


Major Job Responsibilities will include:



  • Perform physically demanding duties (raking, digging, shoveling) to place and spread hot asphalt material.
  • Perform dump man duties when needed.
  • Run plate whacker and jumping jack.
  • Lift and carry required hand tools and ensure they are maintained and in good working order.
  • Perform other duties as required.


    Minimum Qualifications:



    • 18 years old.
    • Proven experience performing laborer duties on a paving crew, or similar experience in the construction industry working on a crew in the field.
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions and work around hot asphalt.
    • Ability to walk on uneven ground and be on your feet for long periods of time.
    • Ability to stoop, bend, lift, carry, push, pull for long periods of time, using a variety of hand tools.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes both day and night work, weekends and overtime.
    • Perform all work as directed by the crew leadman or foreman or other members of the project management team.
    • Adhere to all company safety policies, state and federal regulations.
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
