We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Inside Sales Engineer to become a key member of our Sales team. The role demands accuracy, diligence, and resilience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, will relish the challenge, recognize the opportunity, and be able to identify and develop business relationships, create opportunities, and deliver new business wins to achieve and exceed targets.

Outline of Key Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supplying superior customer service, identified as:

* The efficient and accurate preparation of estimates and quotations

* Working closely with other team members to ensure proper communication with the customer including identification of customer needs, order negotiations, and project management

* Receive and review incoming orders for accuracy to quotation

* Prepare and manage production launch meetings of customer orders

* Solicitation of quotations from sub-contractors for cost estimation

* Establishing, building, and maintaining good customer relationships, being the key contact for issues, concerns, and feedback

* Customer and Trade Show visits

Other Responsibilities (not restricted to)

* Looking for, and suggesting, process efficiencies

* Expected to work to targets and performance will be measured by KPIs relating, but not limited to, Sales Bookings, Profit Margin, Number of Quotes, New Business, On-Time Delivery of Quotes

Requirements

  • A BS degree in engineering, materials technology, and/or equivalent experience- metals manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience required -foundry, machining, or other metals manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of related markets, applications, product design, and an excellent understanding of foundry and fabrication techniques is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent project management experience and strong technical aptitude are also required.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Possess strong negotiating, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent computer skills
