Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Process Technical Writer with experience in government and Salesforce to document and communicate process improvements. The role involves creating process diagrams, writing detailed descriptions, developing user manuals, and managing a knowledge base. The ideal candidate will have strong technical communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.

Responsibilities



  • Develop clear and concise process diagrams (e.g., flowcharts, UML diagrams) to visualize existing and proposed processes.
  • Write detailed descriptions of each process step, including inputs, outputs, and decision points.
  • Create step-by-step procedures for carrying out tasks within the processes.
  • Write comprehensive user manuals for new or improved processes, systems, or tools.
  • Develop training materials, such as tutorials, presentations, and workshops, to support user adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and documentation as needed.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing project findings, recommendations, and implementation plans.
  • Develop presentations to communicate project information to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Write articles for internal or external publication to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository of project information, including process documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure that the knowledge base is easily accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and edit technical documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ensure that all documentation meets the required standards and is free of errors.
  • Collaborate with process experts, engineers, and project managers to gather information and ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other team members, such as graphic designers and developers, to create effective documentation.
  • Supporting the Chief Naval Personnel and BBA


Required Skills and Experience



  • Proven experience in technical writing, particularly within government and Salesforce environments.
  • Writing experience and experience with business process re-engineering.
  • 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • 2+ years' experience in Microsoft .NET development in either C# or COBOL.
  • 2+ years' experience in Microsoft SQL.
  • Process mapping and business reengineering with existing written requirements and baseline requirements
  • Strong knowledge of process documentation and technical communication.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Proficiency in process modeling tools.
  • Experience with project management and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Understand my MyNavyHR system setup.
  • Understand the systems that Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS) deals with, such as NP2, NSIPS; awareness of these systems, process flows, etc.
  • Have knowledge Specific to NEAS, which is unique to other systems.
  • Local to Naval Education Training Command (NETC) (Pensacola, FL) would be ideal but not required.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. - Must be eligible for a NMCI Flank Speed Account and access NETC N6 facilities.

Work Location: Remote/Hybrid - Pensacola, FL

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
