We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, High Risk Corporate Event Management o join our Custody Operations team. This team is responsible for the end-to-end monitoring of high-risk corporate action events, supporting our corporate action teams. This role is located in New York, USA -Flex Hybrid. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Strategy Development
- Define and develop a strategy to build an industry leading high risk event management process, ensuring opportunities for errors are minimised across teams in Corporate Actions and Income.
- Analyse current high risk corporate action processes and identify key areas for improvement across all stages of the lifecycle.
- Establish clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for high-risk event management.
- Partner across Operations, Controls and Engineering to identify and drive technology enhancements to accurately present and manage the risks identified in high-risk events.
Implementation & Execution
- Lead the continued implementation of the High-Risk corporate Event function, ensuring alignment with the organization's operational goals of delivering best-in-class service to clients and optimizing operational processes.
- Develop and deploy standardized processes and best practices.
- Coordinate with Operations. Controls and Engineering teams to improve high risk event functionality within existing tools, while also supporting build in strategic architecture.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Control to ensure effective processes.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure understanding and buy-in for high risk event management initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within Custody Operations through adoption of low-code/no-code technologies, such as Alteryx, Power Bi, Ui Path, etc.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance reconciliation accuracy and efficiency.
- Document market nuances and keep market nuances learning document up to date for future reference. Partner with learning pillar to deliver training on market nuances where required.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.15 plus years of total work experience is preferred with at least 5-7 years in management.
- Service delivery experience preferred..

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
