The Alabama Cooperative Extension System ( ACES) serves as the vital link between AU, Alabama A&M University, and communities across all 67 counties. This position is an Extension assignment covering multiple counties. The successful candidate may be housed in one of the counties served by this position.

This position serves the Southwest Alabama Agronomic Crops Program, covering Baldwin, Butler, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, and Washington counties.

As an Extension Agent (EA), you will play a key role in supporting commercial row crop producers and stakeholders by delivering cutting-edge, research-based insights. Your work will focus on enhancing the sustainability and profitability of Alabama's row crop industry while promoting environmentally responsible agronomic practices.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to effectively serve Alabama's agricultural community.

Level 1: Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience.
Level 2: Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience or Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
Level 3: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or Master's degree and 6 years of experience.
Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Master's degree and 10 years of experience.

Focus of Education: Discipline related to extension programming.

Focus of Experience: Experience implementing, managing, or delivering educational programs in a relevant discipline, including formal and/or informal teaching methods.

This position involves regular travel to fulfill Extension responsibilities, and access to reliable transportation is essential.
