Communication Specialist-LLU

Shared Services: Marketing University (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

Job Summary: The Communications Specialist-LLU implements communication and marketing plans to support University wide or school specific initiatives. Designs, writes and produces assigned graphics, articles, publications, social media content and promotional materials for audiences such as prospective students, current students and alumni. Coordinates initiatives using content calendars to write and produce timely, effective and efficient communications. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related field required. Minimum two years of related experience required.

Knowledge and Skills: Able to type 60 words per minute. Able to manage, input data and information into the computer and various computer programs. Able to speak clearly and effectively. Good communication skills necessary to positively interact with students, visitors, staff, faculty, and other school and university stakeholders. Able to follow instructions with minimal supervision. Proofread documents for content accuracy. Able to prioritize workload, knowledge of computers and various software programs. Able to follow instructions with minimal supervision. Completion of tasks under deadline. Must be able to see, hear, and speak well enough to perform job duties, communicate via telephone and in person, and to visually recognize and proofread materials.
