What are the duties?
Experienced Fleet Mechanic / Truck Technician ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repairs and maintains Private Customer Fleet of Vehicles
  • Service and Repair of Class 8, medium duty, trailer repair, and light duty car and truck - working on auto and diesel
  • Assist in delegation of work
  • Quality control checks
  • Perform PMI's on all vehicles, tractors, trailers and other equipment
  • Perform all types of engines, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs, etc.
  • Assisting other Techs as needed
  • Use of Smartphone, Laptop, and Tablet Technology to Record all Repairs
  • Must be able to work independently


PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Preferred Diesel Program Certificate from college or technical school
  • 5 or more years Related Experience in any of the following areas: Auto, Diesel, Chassis, Refrigeration, MHE


CERTIFICATES and LICENSES


  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Valid CDL is a PLUS with increased wage
  • ASE Certifications are preferred with increased wage
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
