The Team

Gov Exec's Research and Insights group, which includes the Government Business Council, Market Connections and Leading Brands, provides clients the services they need to make good business decisions, understand the public sector marketplace, and position themselves as knowledge leaders in the market. Comprised of survey research methodologists, high level executive interviewers, industry experts and many smart and curious researchers, the research group within GovExec works closely with clients to identify problems and challenges, gather and analyze information and summarize it in a form that is actionable.

The Role

GovExec is seeking a Marketing Research Analyst to join our growing Insights & Research Group (IRG). As Marketing Research Analyst, you will be a critical player in market research operations, survey management, research logistics, data collection and analysis, and creation of research reports. In this role, you will be a detail-oriented self-starter who is excited by the prospect of market research and consulting with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting research managers and directors in managing all aspects of multiple accounts and research projects simultaneously.
  • Assisting research managers and directors in questionnaire creation, survey management, data collection and analysis, creation of research reports and fulfillment of the logistical needs of the research function.
  • Coordinating with and managing outside vendors (e.g., panel providers, data tabulation, recruiting firms)
  • Testing survey programming
  • Managing fielding of surveys to timely completion and data quality
  • Assisting with analysis and reporting tasks (e.g., PowerPoint templates, online dashboards, comment coding)
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of final report deliverables to clients (e.g., proofing numbers, text, formatting)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, research or a related field. Research experience is also a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter.
  • Strong communication, decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in SPSS a plus.

The compensation range for this role is $55,000 to $60,000 per year.
