8:00am - 5:00pm

Position Overview:

The Commercial
Credit Intern position at Broadway Bank offers an opportunity to gain
meaningful work experience in a professional environment, leveraging academic
learning and prior experiences. This internship is a structured 10-week program
designed to provide hands-on exposure to commercial credit analysis and
establish a foundation for a career in commercial banking. Interns will
actively contribute to departmental responsibilities, undertake special
projects, and network with professionals across various banking disciplines.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in rotations across key banking areas, including Private Banking, Business Banking, Middle Market, Commercial Real Estate, Treasury Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Wealth Management, among others.
  • Undertake an annual review project specifically assigned by the credit department and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Utilize the bank's financial spreading software to analyze both business and personal financial statements and create custom spreadsheets tailored to bank standards.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Broadway Bank's core systems and document imaging software.
  • Collect and interpret basic credit data on businesses and individuals to assist in preparing loan approval presentations.
  • Participate in comprehensive credit training sessions to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Attend Senior Officer Loan Committee meetings to understand the commercial loan approval process.
  • Execute special projects related to the bank's lending operations as assigned.
  • Build connections with teams and leaders across the organization, fostering a deeper understanding of banking operations.
  • Participate in mentoring sessions and receive feedback to enhance personal and professional growth.


Experience & Education:

  • Must be entering Junior or Senior year of college.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in business, finance, or accounting.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • Submission of a professional letter of recommendation is preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new concepts in a dynamic work setting.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to commit to
    the full 10-week internship program.
  • Willingness to adhere to Broadway Bank's core values and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
