Position: Finance, Bank Product Management, and Audit Intern | Division: Finance| Work Days: Monday - Friday | Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Position Overview: The Finance, Bank Product Management, and Audit Intern at Broadway Bank will gain hands-on experience in a professional financial environment, applying academic knowledge to real-world scenarios. This 10-week rotational internship program is designed to enhance skills in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, bank product management, and internal control design and operations while offering exposure to various departments within the organization. Interns will spend multiple weeks assisting various departments in the Bank and contribute to meaningful projects, engage with cross-functional teams, and develop a solid foundation for a future career in banking and finance. Essential Functions:
- Participate in job shadowing across multiple departments to develop a comprehensive understanding of finance, product management, and internal audit operations.
- Accounting & Financial Reporting- Support daily accounting operations to include performing entry preparation and research and assist with regulatory and internal financial reporting activities.
- Financial Planning & Analysis- Assist with profitability and budget analysis and line of business reporting activities.
- Bank Product Management- Support the Bank's consumer product management team to include assisting with product design, evaluation, and testing processes.
- Internal Audit- Assist the internal audit team with departmental and financial center audits to include compiling and preparing audit documentation.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other technical systems to prepare deliverables, perform research, or conduct data analysis.
- Attend team meetings to gain exposure to the core finance and product management processes and their impacts on the business.
- Assist in gathering and providing special requests for financial data.
- Perform special projects relating to the Bank's financial operation areas and other duties as assigned.
- This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.
Experience & Education:
- Must be entering the junior or senior
year of an accredited undergraduate program. - Currently enrolled in a degree program
focused on accounting, finance, or a related field. - Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher is
required. - A professional letter of recommendation
is preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong
verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members. - Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis tools and functions. - Strong
organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Basic
knowledge of financial principles and accounting concepts. - Strong
work ethic, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new skills. - Professional
demeanor with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. - Curiosity
and enthusiasm to learn and grow knowledge in the banking industry.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to commit to the full 10-week internship program.
- Willingness to adhere to Broadway Bank's core values and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
- Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required.
