AdminIT is a hybrid work environment with 1-2 days/week in the office.
Under the general direction of the FOA Data Operations and Integrations Manager, this position provides technical expertise in application administration, data integration, and operational support for critical enterprise systems. The role focuses on managing and supporting the Laserfiche platform, including workflow design, configuration, system monitoring, and user support.
Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining FOA-managed applications, deploying system updates, and managing integrations to ensure seamless data exchange and operational continuity. Collaboration with stakeholders, process improvement, and adherence to security and compliance best practices are key aspects of the role.
This position supports a diverse portfolio of enterprise systems critical to campus operations, enabling efficient workflows, reliable system performance, and informed decision-making.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
* Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
* Experience with SQL and relational database systems for developing and executing complex queries on large datasets.
* Demonstrated experience with enterprise content management systems such as Laserfiche or similar platforms.
* Experience with managed file transfer solutions (e.g., GoAnywhere) and scheduling or staging batch files and feeds using vendor tools or custom scripts.
* Proficiency in maintaining job schedules using tools such as Linux cron, Quartz, Spring Batch, or enterprise schedulers like Control-M or Autosys.
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and analyze applications using programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical requirements, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing user roles and permissions in systems like Active Directory or Grouper.
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS S3, EC2, Lambda) and their programmatic APIs.
* Experience supporting and configuring web or application servers (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, IIS).
* Experience with web services and APIs (SOAP, REST) for supporting integrations.
* Advanced proficiency in Linux shell scripting (bash, ksh) and Linux utilities (awk, grep, sed).
* Knowledge of stream processing and messaging systems, such as Kafka, NiFi, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.
* Familiarity with middleware systems and authentication protocols, including SAML, LDAP, CAS, or OAuth.
* Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
* Proficiency in version control tools and practices, such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
* Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Department Overview
Administrative Innovation and Technology (AdminIT) is part of the Finance, Operations & Administration (FOA) organization and manages a diverse end-to-end portfolio of technology services essential to the entire UC Davis campus, including UC Davis Health System.
The Systems Operations, Data Services, and Support Unit provides critical support and services for strategic decision-making and daily operations. The unit focuses on four key domains:
1. Enterprise Systems Support (ESS)
2. DevOps
3. DataOps/Integrations
4. Reporting
The DataOps & Integrations Team ensures seamless data integration and management across critical enterprise systems, leveraging tools such as NiFi, Informatica, and cloud-based solutions. The team supports database storage and data warehouse (DWH) solutions, enabling integrations for systems such as AggieDocs, Aggie Enterprise (Oracle Cloud Financials), Effort Reporting System, Time Reporting System, and Document Management System. They also administer document management applications and oversee Managed File Transfer (MFT) processes to ensure secure and efficient data exchange. By leveraging modern tools, including AWS technologies, the team supports campus-wide reporting and data distribution, driving operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
