Position Function: The growing Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Mississippi State University seeks applicants to join our full-time faculty membersfor one assistant clinical professor position, beginning fall2025. Department Profile: The Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership,Educational Psychology, and Foundations offers graduate programs(masters and doctoral) in higher education leadership, educationalpsychology, school psychology, and counseling, as well as anundergraduate program in educational psychology. Mississippi State University, located in pastoral Starkville, is a comprehensive,land-grant institution with an enrollment of over 20,000 studentsand is designated with a very high research activity rating fromthe Carnegie Foundation. Area of Specialization: Applied Behavior Analysis Anticipated Appointment Date: August 16, 2025 Tenure Track Status: Non-Tenure Track Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will involve teaching and program support through our Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations. Primary responsibilities will includeundergraduate and graduate teaching, practicum and researchsupervision. The program is based on the scientist-practitionermodel with strong emphasis on training in the utilization ofempirically based applied behavior analytic assessment,intervention, and consultation methods. Students in the programobtain Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in applied behavior analysis or psychology with anemphasis in applied behavior analysis or a closely related field,demonstration of potential of excellence in teaching and service.ABDs will be considered if the degree will be completed by August15, 2025. Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited applied behavior analysisprogram or psychology program (if psychology program: approved by NASP and/or accredited by APA); Eligible for licensure as abehavior analyst in Mississippi; Eligible for BCBA-D certification;Theoretical orientation consistent with applied behavior analysisor behavioral psychology; Record of, or potential for excellence inteaching of behavior analytic courses for diverse studentpopulation in university settings; Record of, or potential forexcellence in service to the department, university andprofessional organizations; At least two years of experienceworking with individual with Autism Spectrum and Related Disordersin the clinical, school, or hospital setting.
