Position Function: The growing Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Mississippi State University seeks applicants to join our full-time faculty membersfor one tenure-track assistant professor position, beginning fall2025. Department Profile: The Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership,Educational Psychology, and Foundations offers graduate programs(masters and doctoral) in higher education leadership, educationalpsychology, school psychology, and counseling, as well as anundergraduate program in educational psychology. Mississippi State University, located in pastoral Starkville, is a comprehensive,land-grant institution with an enrollment of over 20,000 studentsand is designated with a very high research activity rating fromthe Carnegie Foundation. Area of Specialization: Applied Behavior Analysis Anticipated Appointment Date: August 16, 2025 Tenure Track Status: Tenure Track Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will involve teaching, scholarly research, serviceand program support through our Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations.Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduateteaching, practicum and research supervision, graduate advising,and program planning activities. The program is based on thescientist-practitioner model with strong emphasis on training inthe utilization of empirically based applied behavior analyticassessment, intervention, and consultation methods. Students in theprogram obtain a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology with aconcentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in applied behavior analysis or psychology with anemphasis in applied behavior analysis or a closely related field,demonstration of potential of excellence in teaching, research, andservice. ABDs will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 15, 2025. Applicants must hold an active BCB Acertification. Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited applied behavior analysisprogram or psychology program (if psychology program: approved by NASP and/or accredited by APA); Eligible for licensure as abehavior analyst in Mississippi; Eligible for BCBA-D certification;Theoretical orientation consistent with applied behavior analysisor behavioral psychology; Record of, or potential for excellence inteaching of behavior analytic courses for diverse studentpopulation in university settings; Record of, or potential forscholarly research activity, as evidenced by publications,presentations, grants, etc.; Record of, or potential for excellencein service to the department, university and professionalorganizations; Experience with program coordination activitiesand/or accreditation approval; and at least two years of experienceworking with individual with Autism Spectrum and Related Disordersin the clinical, school, or hospital setting.
