Position Summary: The Senior Personal Bankers builds and maintains strong customer relationships. They provide exceptional service, process customer requests, place customers in appropriate account and loan products, cross-sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments as appropriate. The primary focus of this role is to be a leader in sales at the accounts desk.

NOTE: To obtain employee engagement and retention, within the Customer Service department, and continue to offer top level service while growing our branches, it is imperative that we have well trained employees at all levels. The 6 month position guideline is in place to ensure we are setting all our employees up for success. To apply for another position, employees will need to be in their current role/branch for at least 6 months. Further discussion with a Customer Service Officer can be made for potential exceptions.

Essential Functions:



  • Embrace the Union Bank culture by delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Assist customers with all account requests.
  • Proactively build customer relationships to uncover account and lending needs.
  • Lead by example, support and assist branch in achieving goals set by management on a consistent basis.
  • Review and maintain knowledge of products, fees and policies, and stay current on offerings for product suggestions.
  • Research and resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Proactively participate in ongoing trainings, coaching, and mandatory meetings to ensure continued growth.
  • Originate, manage, and close all types of consumer loans.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions that apply to designated job responsibilities.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Previous banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
  • Proven abilities in cross-selling Union Bank's products, services and referrals.
  • Basic math and proficient computer skills.
  • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.


Working Environment:

Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.

Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.

Some sedentary work lifting and/carrying up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
