What You'll Do in This Position Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Designer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions using Oracle Analytics Server (formerly Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition - OBIEE). The SME will play a key role in optimizing our data analytics infrastructure, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Development *Design and manage the implementation of robust, scalable, and user-friendly OAS solutions to meet organizational reporting and analytics needs. *Develop and manage data models, dashboards, reports, and visualizations that align with business objectives. *Integrate OAS with various data sources, including Oracle databases, cloud platforms, and external systems.
Subject Matter Expertise: *Serve as the primary point of contact for OAS-related queries and technical challenges. *Provide guidance on best practices, architectural design, and tool usage to ensure optimal performance and usability. *Stay up-to-date with Oracle Analytics Server updates, trends, and industry standards to implement the latest features and improvements.
Collaboration and Training: *Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. *Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and availability. *Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower end-users and other team members in utilizing OAS effectively.
Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting: *Monitor and enhance system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues. *Optimize queries, data models, and reporting tools for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Governance and Compliance: *Establish and maintain governance standards for reporting and data security. *Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to data analytics.
Additional Responsibilities: *Lead the transition and upgrades from legacy Oracle BI systems to OAS latest technology. *Identify opportunities for automation and advanced analytics to drive business decision-making. *Advocate for data-driven strategies and foster a culture of analytics throughout the organization.
Analyze complex business and technical problems for solution through electronic data processing and computer software. Develop or collect system requirements and design needs from business owners and managers for moderately complex critical business software needs. Document detailed description of user requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Complete complex software development methodologies, testing, design, and implementation. Provide a direct communication and interface between the software business system users and the database administrators and software developers to provide a solution for the continual operations and improvement of the critical process. Work with software developers to develop creative and cost-effective solutions to complex business problems. Communicate on moderately complex problems and systematic solutions at senior management levels. Expand or modify business systems to serve changing needs of the customer and improve work flow. Develop communications and training to promote and encourage system use. Lead and participate in planning and developing innovative solutions for business services system upgrades and improvement. Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of the programs. Provide dashboards and data analytics for allowing managers and leads to make informed and data driven decisions. Complete general software development methodologies, testing, design, and implementation. Ensure compliance of software development, records retention, data quality, testing and execution to meet all site procedural and outside agency auditability requirements.
Security Clearance Information SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. Qualifications We Require High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Qualifications We Desire *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business or a related field. *Moderate experience in designing and developing enterprise reporting solutions using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) or Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE). *In-depth knowledge of OAS architecture, RPD development, and dashboard/report creation. *Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling concepts. *Strong understanding of data integration tools, ETL processes, and working with large datasets. *Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and its analytics tools is a plus but not required. *Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms. *Experience training end-users and creating technical documentation.
