Summary
Part of an interdisciplinary team that provides support services for patients addicted to alcohol and other drugs during their first year of recovery. The overall goal is to monitor behaviors, care for and provide assistance to patients in early abstinence. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. -Assist new patients who enter the program with paperwork, orientation and settling in -Assists in implementing treatment plans. -Develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with other in the agency. -Attends and participates in treatment team meetings. -Meets with patients regularly to assist them in their recovery. -Update system notes and data fields Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Bachelor's Degree PSYCHOLOGY preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Recovery Coach [State Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferred Certified Recovery Support Worker [CRSW - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board for Certification of Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professionals preferred Experience sustained recovery experience 2-3 years required experience working with people with substance use disorders 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients/families and staff. - Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations. - Proficient in the use of office equipment and the computer Microsoft Word and Excel. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain written records and reports. - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. - Demonstrates knowledge of and skill in the ability to safely and effectively operate standard. - Strong organizational and leadership skills.
