Summary Under direction of the Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator & Charge Nurse, the Community Residence Counselor (CRC ) provides direct patient care and participates in therapeutic milieu within the scope of defined practice. The Pavilion is an adult, unlocked, residential program treating acute and sub-acute psychiatric patients requiring comprehensive psychiatric and neuropsychiatric consultation, assessment, and treatment. The Pavilion is designed to provide unparalleled diagnostic evaluation with an emphasis on evidence-based care, discretion, flexibility, and confidentiality. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Provides direct patient care in accordance with current treatment plan, under the supervisor of the Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator and Charge Nurse. -Provides and supervises community activities according to needs. -This may include driving & transporting patients to and from activities in hospital vehicles. -Remains awa Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Medication Administration Program Certified [MAP - Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Public Health required Experience One-year patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Time Management. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work as part of a team. - Maintains a commitment to professional growth and competency. - All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems (PRISM) for communication, clinical and administrative purposes. - Familiarity with Epic preferred.
