- Serve as Workday Integration and Enterprise Data Engineer with responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Own and manage all Workday integrations to include Connectors, Web Services, EIBs, RaaS & Orchestrate
- Troubleshoot integration issues, ensure file delivery and follow up on data issues
- Maintain integrations when business or data needs to change
- Review existing integrations architecture and make updates as opportunities exist
- Build and maintain data catalog to ensure understanding of data delivered
- Ensure existing integrations are delivering only essential data elements
- Hold Discovery Sessions with business partners, ET, HR, and Vendors for requirements
- Partner with HR Technology Team to move new integrations and changes through appropriate processes
- Design and deliver new integrations with vendors and internal customers
- Gather and document requirements as input into the design of an integration
- Identify, assess,and solvecomplex business problemsfor integrating Workday with external applications across a wide array of HR functional areas
- Design, built, and supported testing of Workday integration code base including Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, and supporting 3rd party coding
- Coordinate with the HR Technology team to test and validate requirements are met; ensure integration defects are resolved during the testing phase
- Act as an escalation point for problems with existing Workday integrations
- Create advanced reports using complex calculated fields
- Design/Develop/Engineer scalable, observable and reliable software applications that integrate enterprise systems.
- Dive deep into the data for source and target systems to understand how the integration will deliver business value, map the data and develop the integration.
- Own all aspects of software engineering
- Deep dive into your users' problems and partner with product managers and business stakeholders to find and create efficient solutions
- Play an active role in architectural design, code reviews, and challenging requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of technical systems management experience
- 4+ years' experience with Workday Integrations, Reporting, and Data Architecture
- Hands-on experience with building complex calculated fields and aggregations in Workday
- 3+ years experience in design and development of cloud-native solutions, micro-services, and backend systems, preferably on AWS
- 3+ years experience designing, building, deploying, operating, and scaling distributed systems, preferably on AWS.
- 2+ years experience in designing/building event-driven and real-time integrations
- Advance level SQL, XML/XLST, Web Services (SOAP, REST) skills
- Knowledge of modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go or Rust
- Strong technical and working knowledge of HRIS systems, applications, theory, and practice.
- Experience with software testing methodology and data validation
- Experience with Workday EIBs and other integration methods
- Self-starter with the ability to simultaneously manage and organize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively manage vendor relationships
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of business process design/redesign practices
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills-
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $130,518.00-$182,724.15
