The Opportunity:

UCF IT seeks an IT Analyst I to assist with the daily support and management of enterprise-level, third party applications as supported by / contained in the UCF IT applications portfolio. This position performs basic technical and interface support, troubleshooting, and liaises with vendors, customers, and other IT teams required for application sustainment and stability.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide first point of contact for application and/or customer support and issues, troubleshooting, and resolution for supported applications portfolio.

  • Assist with application life cycle support; implementation, integration, sustainment, and maintenance/upgrades, and deprecation at end of life, both for Cloud-hosted and server-based applications in portfolio, to include application specific servers.

  • Coordinate with other UCF IT teams; assist UCF IT staff in a wide range of technical issues as related to supported applications, including research/recommendation of new technologies and software.

  • Produces end-user support documentation of applications including step guidelines and/or user manuals as necessary.

  • Continue professional development through review of professional publications and papers and attendance of meetings, professional seminars, and conferences.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1-2 years' experience IT support in a customer service role, with a focus on troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Python, WinSCP, and PowerShell.

  • Experience with residence hall key systems.

  • Experience with DocuSign and other web-based forms.

  • Proactive, organized, and able to thrive in a remote work setting with minimal supervision.

  • Skilled at explaining complex or technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage difficult situations and maintain professionalism when dealing with individuals with varying communication styles.
