Camtronics, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, a NYSE-traded company (NYSE: HEI) is seeking a detail-oriented and GAAP-compliant Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for managing Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, general accounting duties, and assisting AP Specialist. The ideal candidate will ensure financial accuracy, maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and support the month-end close process.

Accounts Receivable (AR):



  • Process and manage customer invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile AR ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Assist with revenue recognition and ensure compliance with company policies.


General Accounting Duties:



  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations.
  • Support financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to ensure accurate reporting.


Accounts Payable (AP) Oversight:



  • Supervise and provide guidance to the AP Specialist.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
  • Review and approve AP reconciliations and reports.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, with exposure to AR and general ledger functions.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best-practices.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software (Component Control - Quantum preferred, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and support an AP Specialist.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • CPA or working towards CPA certification.
  • Experience in financial reporting and audit support.
