Shift: 7am-3pm Continental Shift
Job Responsibilities:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Implement, sponsor, and support all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
  • Follow and enforce all safety protocols - lead by example and instruct new hires to the same standards.
  • Ensure new hires are aware of and follow our "Code of Conduct" and any established behavioral standards.
  • Facilitate the formal new hire onboarding process.
  • Provide general or specific assistance to new employees so they gain an understanding of what they need to know to succeed in their job and role.
  • Serve as a positive role model, modelling desired behavior e.g., professionalism, positive can-do attitude, speaking up, being an initiator, patience, respectfulness, and tolerance.
  • Develop a professional relationship with new hires that is maintained during the first 6-months of employment.
  • Assist in training new hires to standard work and with their designated trainers.
  • Provide effective feedback communication with Lead Mentor and HR.
  • Perform daily touch audits with new team members.
  • Provide early detection of performance gaps and collaboration with Lead Mentor and HR on effective corrective action for new hires.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to work 8, 10, 12 hour rotating shifts depending on shift availability, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
  • Ability to perform basic computer application skills.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Ability to communicate (both written & verbal) and work well with all employees at all levels, willingness to learn new processes and work with limited supervision.
  • Minimum two (2) years of manufacturing in plant experience preferred.
  • Good Safety & Attendance records (No Active Warnings).
  • General knowledge of remelt, extrusion, paint, fabrication and packing operations.
  • Basic proficiency in or ability to learn computer skills, e.g., Microsoft 365 suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Must be willing and able to work other shifts as necessary.
