What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced individual to develop and drive our product vision and strategic initiatives. This role will be instrumental in shaping our product direction and market positioning, it will also have a strong focus on global market expansion and strategic partnerships while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and market adoption.


The day-to-day

Market and Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new product sales opportunities across new customers and existing markets
  • Research and develop strategies for entering new aviation markets and verticals globally
  • Lead market entry strategies and execution plans for international expansion
  • Lead strategic customer discussions and relationship management at executive levels

Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify, assess, and develop new strategic partnerships including:
    • Dealers and MROs
    • Hardware resellers
    • Service resellers
    • Technology partners
  • Lead international partner assessments and negotiations for key market entry
  • Drive partner relationship management and program development
  • Conduct due diligence and evaluate potential strategic partners

Technology Strategy

  • Create business and technical requirements for complex product solutions
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive product strategies
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights gathering
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Create detailed business cases and ROI analyses
  • Lead quarterly and annual strategic planning sessions

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Manage relationships with key strategic partners and stakeholders
  • Mentor product managers and junior strategists
  • Coordinate with international teams to ensure global strategy alignment
  • Drive innovation initiatives and identify new product opportunities

What you'll need

  • 20+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of developing successful product strategies and driving their implementation.
  • Experience in aviation, including business aviation.
  • Experience in international business development and partner negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision making.
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

What will help you on the job

  • Experience in both B2B and B2C products.
  • Background in avionics technology and integration and/or software products.
  • Experience with satellite technology.
  • Experience with international market entry and government relations.
  • Track record of successful partnership development.
  • Experience in engineering systems integration and requirements definition.

Salary range

$239,000.00 - $340,500.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $297,000.00- $402,000.00/ annually
