Pro Staff is hiring an entry-level Metal Finishing Plater in Alexandria, MN, with an industry leader in packaging solutions. Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $17.50/hr

In this role, you will provide support to line operators with diminishing assistance and direction. You will be expected to follow safety procedures, perform physical tasks, and ensure efficient and safe operations while learning and applying key techniques.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Follow proper safety procedures and use safety devices while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area at all times.
  • Learn and apply racking techniques that optimize part quality and quantity.
  • Build racks for new products to optimize quantity.
  • Maintain job segregation where necessary.
  • Follow post-plating procedures for rinsing and drying.
  • Follow inspection and packaging procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring smooth operations.



Qualifications:



  • Mentally alert and physically capable of performing tasks in a timely manner
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting metal parts (1 lb. to 45 lbs. regularly, up to 70 lbs. occasionally)
  • Constantly reaching overhead and gripping parts
  • Work environment typically around 75F, but may exceed 100F and be humid due to furnace operations
  • PPE required, including maintaining a clean-shaven appearance for proper respirator fit
