Summary

As a Sr. SIOP Planner you will be responsible for managing and developing the organizational demand plan from a product level and channel level. You will lead cross-functional interactions, host and lead demand meetings, develop demand plans based on customer reviews (internal and external), apply customer input and market trends to establish statistical projections and develop the most accurate and up-to-date demand plan.

A key focus will be to establish effective channels of communication and process that support long term growth and SIOP planning initiatives, including improved planning accuracy and driving key sales and inventory metrics.

In addition to the objectives above, the Sr. SIOP Planner will take part in building a center of excellence and be exposed to leadership priorities and strategic initiatives that drive optimization and improvement across all functions of the business.

Essential Functions

  • Process Development: Develop and lead the Demand Planning Process for demand cycle processes with internal Sales and Marketing teams as well as our customers to ensure that all promotions and new initiatives (events) are captured in the demand plan
  • Collaboration: Work with internal stake holders and customers on promotions and inventory management and communicate risk & opportunities to the internal organization as needed.
  • Data Management: Evaluate and incorporate macro and micro market trends in conjunction with departmental inputs to develop a demand plan.
  • Data Analysis: Translate a forward-looking aggregated demand plan to a SKU level demand plan by sales channels, product lines, and customer segments
  • Forecasting Models: Perform monthly root cause analysis to identify sources of controllable forecast error and mitigate in future forecasts
  • Reporting: Review and publish monthly organizational demand forecast, forecast accuracy and segment/channel reviews
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve demand plan accuracy and connectivity across the supply chain in support of planning, response, and improving key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ Years of experience with SIOP and/or demand & inventory planning
  • Technical Skills: Advanced computer software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot tables, PowerBi)

General Qualifications

  • Understanding of how supply/demand planning impacts other functions of the business
  • Ability to lead SIOP initiatives and monthly reviews.
  • Capability to work independently in a fast-paced lean organization and be extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with internal customers

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Proven ability to think analytically
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and how/when to apply
  • Self-motivated with positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior forecasting, modeling, and demand planning experience
  • Experience in creating and giving presentations at various levels of management
  • Experience with statistical forecasting
  • Demand planning or Supply chain certification
