WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pre-assembly is an integral part of the production process. Accounting for and prepping parts and assemblies enables the efficient production process to flow smoothly through subsequent fabrication departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Read and understand the blueprint and part drawings.
- Confirm all required parts are accounted for.
- Peel protective vinyl coating in areas that require welding.
- Follow the blueprint to locate components and install them as required. (e.g., channels under tabletops, locks/catches on doors, brackets on shelves, etc.)
- Install channels on various parts by locating and applying weld studs and pal nuts to hold them in place.
- Apply a brush to the undercoating material on the required parts.
- Knowledge of the following machinery: Table saw, band saw, iron worker, corner notcher, hole punch, and deburring tools.
- Stack various parts on tables and carts to avoid scratches or dents.
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
- Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.
- Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
- Performs effectively as a team member, can work well with others, is open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone respectfully.
- Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
- Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to management.
- Understands the department's key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributes to achieving these goals both individually and as a team.
- Other duties as needed or required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in various manufacturing departments.
- Have a good working knowledge of tape measure use and basic shop tools.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
- Some travel may be required.

- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

- Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with blueprints and assembling various components.
- Bilingual Spanish.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour. Salary may vary based on experience.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Normal shop hours are 6:30 am until 3:00 pm
- Work Location: In person
