JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

Starkey is looking for an entry-level software engineer to join our web development team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing features for a web-based system that drives Starkey's new product development process. You will be given the opportunity to develop full-stack web development capabilities, from front-end development to back-end API design and implementation. Our team works with Angular as a front-end UI framework and develops back-end API's using C#, .NET, and TypeScript. You will join a small, tight-knit, and growing team of experienced, intelligent web developers working to build infrastructure that aids in development of exciting new hearing aid products.

No former professional experience is required for this position. Someone who is highly collaborative, innovative, and eager to learn will thrive here!

Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop web solutions to business problems
  • Work with product managers and other engineering teams to deliver web solutions that meet the needs of a dynamic organization
  • Participate in design discussions within cross-functional teams


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, such as Java or C#


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous professional or intern experience in a software development team
  • Experience with a major web UI framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue

Salary and Other Compensation:

The target pay rate for this position is between $66,220 - $84,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.

Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401 (k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid time off, 8 days/hours of paid sick and safe time, and 6 paid holidays annually.
