Maintenance Quality Assurance Analyst

The Maintenance Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for internal company audits and associated analysis for the area assigned. In accordance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) they will assist the Director of Safety with the continual analysis and improvement of company maintenance processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles audit plans, audit check sheets and procedures for audits
  • Performs internal audits of 135/145 process, documents and data
  • Performs safety inspection of maintenance areas and facilities
  • Compiles audit results and report's findings to the Director of Safety
  • Performs spot checks of 135/145 processes to promote quality improvement
  • Performs root cause analysis for quality issues found in area of assignment and report's findings
  • Accident/Incident/Event Investigation
  • May be required to travel to and collect pertinent statements, evidence and information important to the analysis of an accident, incident, or event
  • Tests modifications and enhancements to the product software to ensure problems are eliminated.
  • Determines the appropriate modifications for problems.
  • Documents and tracks flow of modifications and enhancements through the quality assurance process.
  • Plans functional testing process for product line software.
  • Works with software development staff to ensure that software meets industry requirements.
  • Answers questions from other departments concerning the processing and functionality of individual programs.
  • Trains and assists new quality assurance employees as necessary
  • Lead and perform all aspects of testing including smoke test, functional, system, and regression tests
  • Create, Run and Maintain QTP and Visual Studio Coded UI automation scripts
  • Train QA resources on the use and application of QTP automation
  • Train QA resources on the create, maintenance and configuration of test case beds
  • Log, track, and verify defects concisely
  • Manage multiple QA environments across multiple customer configurations and product versions
  • Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand functional requirements to create comprehensive test cases
  • Familiarity with SQL. Ability to create and execute SQL queries
  • Participation in cross-functional team investigation and resolution of Level II Support issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Two (2) years of experience in software and/or program testing
  • Five (5) years of experience in a Part 135/145 maintenance operations
  • Ability to work in a team environment with an eagerness to contribute to the overall success of the Maintenance department and the Company.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and effectively communicate complex technical data and processes associated with aircraft maintenance and alterations.
  • Must be proficient in a dynamic computerized working environment performing administrative tasks using Microsoft Office Suite programs, web-based maintenance management programs, and Enterprise Recourse Planning (ERP) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Aviation Management, Maintenance or Technology or a related field or equivalent experience
