Position Summary The Clinic Assistant provides clerical and administrative support at The Salvation Army Northern Division Rochester Good Samaritan Dental and Medical Clinic. The Assistant also provides screening for medical assistance eligibility. 28 hours/week, $19 - $20/hour 120 N Broadway Ave, Rochester, MN Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
- Greet patients, facilitate check-in and registration, and respond to calls and requests. (20%)
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks, including appointment scheduling and reminders. (20%)
- Screen patients for medical assistance eligibility and connect patients to resources/referrals. (20%)
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient and volunteer files and database entry. (15%)
- Assist with patient billings. (15%)
- Screen patients for medical assistance eligibility. (10%)
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous medical or dental clerical work preferred.
- Must pass background checks.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions
- Mostly sedentary work, sitting for long periods of time and working on a computer.
- Professional environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
- Must be able communicate clearly in English and Spanish.
- Hours include both day and evening, no weekends.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 35 pounds.
