The Product Engineering Technologist will primarily be responsible for pilot equipment operation to support Product Engineering trials. The position will also include miscellaneous testing and evaluation of trial fabrics as well as assignments on other projects, as needed. Essential Job Functions

* Operation of the Product Engineering Pilot Loom

* Loom configuration and setup- calculations and setup for frames/heddles, threading heddles and reed, reed cleaning & maintenance

* Produce samples- load/troubleshoot pattern files, document/track warp cuts

* General loom maintenance, cleaning and repair

* Operation of the ALPHA Pilot Heatset table

* SAP planning & creation of production orders for trials, yarn inventory management

* Other tasks as assigned, including operation of additional Pilot equipment, sample preparation and testing

* Perform all tasks requested by supervisor.

Requirements

Required Skills:

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Outlook

* Attention to detail, organized, able to follow procedures and maintain records

* Problem Solving

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

* Willing to acquire new skills

Required Experience:

* Weaving loom configuration, setup, threading and general maintenance preferred

Education Requirements:

High School Diplomax College diplomar Bachelor Degreer Masters degreer
