Sales Engineer (Distribution)

Remote

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sales Engineer will be responsible in establishing, enhancing and managing a specified group of Authorized Distribution accounts for the company. The employee will be responsible to manage these accounts, day to day, and will be the main point of contact to support our business and the distributor relationships. Employee will report to the Distribution Sales Manager.





  • Proactively develop, maintain and manage relationships with customer's needs.



  • Proactively work with customer portfolio to identify business opportunities.


  • Provide support and timely communication to inside sales teams (CSR's) at all factory locations in the company.

  • Assist in the account strategy, quoting, technical requirements, training, and sales negotiations.



  • Coordinate quarterly or 6 month reviews for Distribution accounts to arrange meetings for management to attend.


  • Share qualified leads with Strategic Distributors and create program for assistance, follow up and review to completion.

  • Prepare business plans via out EForce forecasting system on an annual basis.



  • Time Managements; Plan and schedule customer visits on a regular basis



  • Timely communication of all issues to and from customers to the company.



  • Expense control.



  • Prepare month-end reports for Management by customer, product and factory location with summarized information as necessary.



  • Perform other duties as related to the job function as required.




Secondary Tasks: The following are responsibilities that are required occasionally.

1. Support divisional goals and sales directives

2. Identify customer needs, provide recommendations, implement solutions

3. Departmental assistance and other projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in business, mechanical engineering or closely related field

Experience:

2+ years experience in OEM sales or related field

Job Skills:

Proficient in MS Office applications: Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point.

Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Strong public speaking and influence skills

Strong negotiation skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skill

Available to travel up to 50% or as required

Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to act with professionalism and sense of urgency

Ability to work with Marketing and Field Sales to accurately forecast and manage future business as well as input to the relevant company systems.

Demonstrate the ability to interface well internally, and with customers, including Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering personnel.

Ability to be flexible and work closely with all members of the organization

Ability to prioritize duties and maximize productivity

Other Requirements:
Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
