Job Description:

The Production Planning Associate is responsible for establishing production schedules, monitoring them, and making changes in order to satisfy customer requirements. This includes working with other departments to keep everyone updated on order status daily, with routine feedback to customers in the form of emails and reports.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of production planning or scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing/steel environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, notably Excel
• Ability to organize and multitask; self-motivated to stay on top of several deadlines simultaneously
• Proven customer service/phone/email skills
• Enter Production Jobs daily
• Communicate production status to Sales and Traffic to expedite order fulfillment.
• Outside Processing
• Assist in sending out daily production schedules and updates.
• Maintaining stock levels for stocking programs and replenishment stock.
• Assists in implementing production schedule day-to-day.
• Alerts Production Planning Supervisor or management of any issues that may arise.
• Assist with IT issues as they arise.
