Job Title: Property Manager

Location: The Franklin House located in Eustis, FL

Job Type: 35 hours a week with full time benefits

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations of our residential properties, specializing in HUD and tax credit programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, leasing, and compliance with government regulations. Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus and will enhance communication with our diverse resident community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned properties, ensuring compliance with all HUD and tax credit regulations.

  • Oversee leasing activities, including marketing vacant units, conducting property tours, and processing applications.

  • Conduct thorough tenant screenings and background checks to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements.

  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

  • Prepare and manage property budgets, ensuring financial performance meets organizational goals.

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair services, ensuring properties are well-maintained and in compliance with safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular property inspections to assess conditions and identify necessary improvements.

  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to HUD and other regulatory agencies.

  • Implement and enforce property policies and procedures.

  • Lead and supervise property staff, providing training and support as needed.

  • Stay current on changes to HUD and tax credit regulations and best practices in property management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in property management, with a focus on HUD and tax credit properties.

  • Strong leasing experience with a proven track record of achieving occupancy goals.

  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and staff.

  • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
