Description Spring Harbor HospitalManagement/Leadership MaineHealth Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Child Unit at Spring Harbor Hospital. We offer a 12-bed unit designed for the care of children, generally ages from 6-12 years old and as young as 4, who require acute mental health treatment. Typically, these patients are animminent risk to themselves or others or are unable to function at a lower level of care due to their psychiatric symptoms. Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents. These include:
Unit programming includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and family therapy, occupational therapy and on-site academic tutoring. Our facility also includes access to a gym and outside playground and courtyard areas. Spring Harbor treats children and adolescents from throughout Maine. Our multidisciplinary team includes medical providers, occupational therapists, social work clinicians, and nursing staff. Treatment plans for youth are individualized. Treatment may include engagement in dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy skills groups, psychoeducation groups, individual and milieu therapies, occupational therapy, and Individual psychotherapy. Medication providers may also recommend psychotropic medication as part of the treatment. Summary: The Nurse Manager assists the Director in the coordination, supervision, and management of all personnel and patient care activities of the unit and in the successful operation of the hospital and network at large.
