What You'll Do

This position is responsible for managing key production planning and control functions which include Master ProductionSchedule, Detailed Production Schedules, Transportation Demand, Forecasting and Inventory Analysis. Responsible forcollaborating with Program Integration, Production Operations, Product & Manufacturing Engineering, Weapons Quality andother areas as required. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish program goals.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

Prioritize production activities based on detailed schedules (daily)



  • Develop product/operation schedules
  • Lead / participate in material stream focused production meetings (weekly)
  • Develop recovery schedules (as required)
  • Manage inventory levels and lead times of ship entity level items
  • Provide longer term forecasts of detailed production plans (annually)
  • Generate resource loaded integrated production schedules
  • Provide production schedules to assigned Work Center (weekly)
  • Associate labor and facility/equipment estimates with operations (on-going)
  • Analyze direct labor & critical facility/equipment load (on-going)
  • Evaluate the impact of facility/equipment outages on capacity (on-going)
  • Identify bottleneck resources for both equipment and labor (on-going)
  • Track completions against internal production plan (daily)
  • Recommend changes in available labor or equipment (as required)
  • Long term capacity modeling
  • Other duties may be assigned related to Operations and Production Control
  • Organize accurate report information for the management meetings
  • Monitor and maintain supplier delivery performance while maintain the data integrity of the parts, liaising with departmental customers to support the business needs.
